1. If Ultron is created Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, why couldn't they have stopped him?
In the movie: Well, they did say that they required the spectre to create him, so it explains why they couldn't contain him.
In the comics: Ultron was created by Hank Pym (the Antman, not the other Ant man appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) timeline). In the comics, Hank Pym created him and couldn't replicate the technology. Also in the comic book version of Age of Ultron (which was a pretty boring story), the Avengers didn't completely eliminate Ultron even with time travelling capability.
2. What is that thing from the casket?
In the movie: He is an ANDRIOD (half human, half robot) created by Ultron. If you have watched the movie, You'll understand that he is a good guy. Putting Dr Helen Cho under the influence of Loki's Spectre, Ultron employs her human tissue generation technology to create him.
Most importantly in the movie, Thor and Ultron subtly describes him as part of their VISION, and that is his name.
In the comic book; He is also created by Ultron. And fun fact: He gets married to Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff). Potential future spoiler, but it's a well known fact.
3. So I know War Machine (Lt. Col. James Rhodes), I know Wanda Maximoff (Scarlett Witch), and I now I know Vision. Who's the last guy?
This is him in Captain America: Winter Soldier |
In the movie: In the movies, he is a friend of Steve Rogers, an ex-military guy with cool tech, He is none other than the Falcon.
In the comics: He is also a good friend of Steve Rogers. He is the second echelon in Avengers leadership. In fact, He eventually succeeds Steve as Captain America
Neat huh. |
4. Why does Pepper Potts look so different?
This is a simple one. You gotta pay attention, really. This is MARIA HILL. Pepper, as Tony mentioned is busy running his company. Just like how Jane Foster ( Thor's girl) is busy winning a Nobel Prize.
Maria is Nick Fury's (former director of SHIELD in the MCU) right hand man. At the end of Captain America 2, she was seen applying a job in Stark Industries.
5. Why does the Avengers Tower look like the Stark Tower?
Tower in Age of Ultron |
Tower in the first Avengers Movie |
That's because it is. The logo was a smart play on the Stark Industries logo. This one is so simple I feel like I'm insulting you. For those boneheads who need it.
6. What is Veronica (Codename for Stark's armour upgrades to fight Hulk)?
This armour modular is known as Hulkbuster. One of the various armour in Stark's arsenal. It's cool to note that the helmet resembles Juggernaut. I couldn't find back this up (so don't quote me on this) but I read somewhere once that one version of the Hulkbuster employs on the magic of Juggernaut's helmet hence the design.
This is my favourite though, the THORBUSTER.
It's not much to look at, but it's made to fight a god. |
In the movie: Thor briefly mentions at the end of the movie that there are 4 stones already revealed and what he fails to mention that there are 2 more waiting to be revealed. This is the lead up to the infinity war, which I will talk about in my next post.
There are so much more, I'd love to list them all but my posts are so amaturish, you should find other sources. Haha. Till next time.
See the resemblance? |
In the comics: This are the infinity gems that, when attached to the infinity gauntlet space warmonger Thanos searches the entire galaxy for.
You've seen this guy in Guardians of the Galaxy already. |
